32bit vs 64bit

Okay I know this has been known for like ages but I just actually "know" it. I've encountered these bits before but never really try to understand them and seems like they have no significant benefits for me the last few years.

Just for simple intro, basically there are 2 versions of Windows which is the 32bit and 64bit. Just by the number you can tell that the 64bit handles more memory (the RAM to be exact). And the best thing about it, it works better in handling multiple programs running at the same time - more responsive.

A 32bit version of Windows can only handle RAM up to 3.0 - 3.5Gb. Meaning to say, if you installed a 4Gb RAM on a 32bit Windows, it doesn't utilize the 4Gb capacity fully. The maximum is still 3.0 - 3.5Gb even if you have installed a 10Gb RAM. The 64bit windows can utilize more than 4Gb RAM.

To install a 64bit version of Windows you need to make sure that your processor is capable of running a 64bit version of Windows - very Important!

32bit programs mostly work on a 64bit version of Windows - mostly. But 32bit driver won't work.
64bit programs won't work on a 32bit version of Windows and so as the driver. 64bit driver won't work on 32bit version of Windows.

There's a hell lot more info regarding this bits, so keep updating and sharing ya'll~

Blogging Platform

Morning morning~

I just wanna write what I was thinking earlier then. I've started my 1st blogspot in 2009, February to be exact. I thought of using Blogspot because that was the 'trend' during that time. It has been more than 2 years since then and I am still an active "Blogspot-er". LOL!

There was this time, around mid-2009, I saw a friend using tumblr. And I was like "tumblr? Oo is this a blog? I didn't know that there are many different blogging platform EXIST?" <-- very out-dated you can say..I tried it out. Turned out I deleted my account after 2 days.

And then last year, I thought of looking for other platforms and I found Xanga. I tried it out and I haven't updated it since August this year. And I actually have decided to close that account too.

The Reason Behind It
Tumblr:
I can see that mostly teenagers/youngsters opt for tumblr, somewhere around 13 y.o. - 25 y.o. The trend is, they usually use tumblr to post something real short but can express what they feel at the same time. They don't write much or blog either. They just reblog or repost beautiful/cute/etc. images and quotes that belong to someone or that was reblogged/reposted by others. You can say that it is a very easy way to blog. Not to have to write some few paragraphs to tell what you feel or think. And of course there's nothing wrong with it. But I like to write - doesn't matter how terrible my writing is. I like to tell and explain. So, maybe that's the reason why I've deleted my account after 2 days. I can't get to fit in into the community. They might just get bored reading paragraphs and paragraphs in TUMBLR?? Perhaps, it's just not my place. Too bad.

Xanga:
Xanga is actually a blogging platform and a social network combined. You can blog - like usual- and keeping in touch with friends through chat, message, comments - like a social network. And yes, you can add anyone as friend. But I always feel that I'm on guard. Very careful of what I blog. The community are super sensitive - some people I guess. Sometimes they talk and took things seriously. If they don't like you, it means they don't. Plus, 18SX contents are openly accepted which is also nothing wrong in this free world I guess. I haven't deleted my account though but I'll see what I can do more in there.

I know that there are many blogging platforms out there but for now, I'll stick to Blogspot. Hurray!

What da ya think?

Factors on Poor Web Traffics!

Good morning peeps! You'll be hearing this a lot since my only time to blog is in the morning =.="

As I was surfing the net for interesting blogs and sites, it turned out to be so upsetting - not for what they wrote, their ideas or opinions. I think they are missing out some pretty basic rules on how to attract and make people stay longer on their sites/blog/etc. The traffic people, the traffic!

In my experience, I can't stand to wait on sites to load for more than 5 sec - unless I realize that my connection is terrible - or something distracting me while I was there. Okay here's the thing. As I have observed, there were 3 factors that mainly caused this regrettable circumstances.

Gadgets/Widgets/Applications
Okay this is fine but way too much is not wise. It slows down the page load. Use what's necessary and useful. It might looks cool and flatters the layout but people just want to read. Slow page load pushes traffic away.

Music/Video Player
This is nothing wrong, honestly. I like music too. But maybe some don't and it might be a little distracting. You might want to turn off the auto-play function. If people want to listen, they can just play the player themselves. Agree?

Color
Font color, background color..doesn't matter. As long as people can easily read what you wrote. Some just have these striking colours going on in one single page which really annoys me.

Well, these are just some of my personal advices & suggestions..I'm not saying I'm a pro or one of those internet geeks but if you agree, then feel free to apply them..

Any more pretty basic tips that we can share? :)
