Flash crash in Mozilla Firefox 13

I have just recently upgraded my Firefox to version 13 and I realized that it doesn't play flash or videos. What a turn-off for me! This is what I found out.

The latest version of Firefox (version 13) is not compatible with the latest version of Flash Player (version 11.3).

So, the fastest solution is to downgrade Flash Player to Flash 10.3 or Flash 11.2

Step 1: Uninstall Flash Player 11.3
  1. To uninstall Flash Player 11.3, use the uninstaller provided by Adobe here.
  2. Close Firefox.
  3. Run the uninstaller.

Step 2: Install Flash Player 10.3 or 11.2
  1. Download Flash Player 10.3 here. If you want to use Flash Player 11.2, go here
  2. Close Firefox.
  3. Run the installer.

After you have finish, open Firefox to see if flash is running. I have mine running. Hopefully this will work.

Have a great day =)

Friendship Quotes

We all have friend(s) right? That's why I love reading friendship quotes. It reminds me of them and what we have gone through together. With all the ups and downs you'll find your true friend(s).

Appreciate our friend(s). Even they are bad or good. Because people make mistakes. Nobody's perfect right? 'Cause we don't know that we might need them someday.

Megi saves the world by NaniScribbles!

Good morning lovelies =)

I came across a funny post in one of my favourite blog NaniScribbles! which I would like to share here. I'll credited her for this 'cause the content is originally hers. Visit her blog if you have time, you'll be amused =)

Oh by the way, she is a teacher and very good in English. She post mostly about her life experience & thoughts.

‘Teacher, is it true that the world is going to end this year?’ he asked.  Indian and highly inquisitive. I guess 2012 is still a scary set of number for some people. Then I turned to him to offer him the best answer I could come up with – nobody knows when the world is going to end, we will do our very best to be really good people as long as we live. But someone else did a better a job before I could do mine. The boy next to him. He was wise. Way beyond his age.
‘Wei, megi aku pun expire 2013 kot. Lek ah.’ (Translation: Hey, my maggi probably expired in 2013 too. So relax.)
And laughter was everywhere.
Was I stunned?
You bet.
Yeah. I really love my job.
Oh. They’re 13-year-old kids. Biologically protected by the honesty gene. And innocence.
Looks like the world will last another year thanks to megi.

Hehe. How are you guys doing?

How To Manage Your Spending

Good afternoon! I'm starting my day with a flu this morning. Very uncomfortable. :(
I thought of writing this topic because I've came across an article in a local newspaper last Wednesday discussing about how to manage money well. I myself is somehow "love" shopping so much which ends me up with no real savings at the end of the month. This is bad news! I need to do something PRONTO!

We know how hard it is to find money but why do we spends it so easily? I guess two most important thing here is SELF-CONTROL and PROPER PLANNING.

Evaluate financial state
The level of income for each person varies. Your cash-in-hand & savings is what we call ASSETS. Total up all your assets and your expenses. If your expenses is more than your assets, this is what we call unhealthy state of finances. You need to have more savings & reduce expenditures!

Assess financial needs & wants
Do you really NEED it or you just WANT it? WANT means something you wanted to buy just because its pretty, to show off, following trends etc. So if it's a WANT, put the idea off.

BUT if you need it, set a time frames. If you need it within the year, set your savings for each months. Example: If you want to buy a RM1000 handphone in five months, then the savings needed is RM200 a month.

Prepare budget
After receiving an income, you should set some for savings, not spend first and use whatever that remains for savings. It will never works that way. The ideal total savings is between 10-15% of your monthly income. When there is extra income like bonus, save it.

Implement
You should monitor your daily expenses well. One way is the envelope method. Put an amount of money for a particular expenditure in an envelope. At the end of the month, after all the 10 - 15% saving from income and subtracting the expenses, save the balance to the saving.

Start saving at a young age. If possible, start saving when you start working. But do not spend unnecessarily. We must spend according to our ability.

REMEMBER!
When you wanted to buy something, you should ask yourself two questions:
  1. Do I need that thing?
  2. Can I afford this?
If both answer is NO, then forget about buying that thing.

Just a thought and sharing. Tell me if it helps =)

How To Make Your Boss Happy

*Based on personal experience*

I've been working for nearly two years now since I've finished my university internship in 2010. Currently I am working in a private company, the same company from my internship. I won't deny that I've had that time where I really wanted to impress my boss, to show that I have that quality as an employee. Here is what I think that might help you on how to impress your boss & make them HAPPY =)

1. Work Fast
Yes! You have to work fast. It shows your commitment and dedication. If you don't understand, ask your boss till you understand his/her instructions. If you experience complications, do ask you colleagues because they might have experienced the same problems before.
If by the end of the day you are not able to complete your tasks, tell your boss that you will continue doing it tomorrow. Leaving the office without telling the current status of your tasks will leave your boss thinking that the tasks were done with no complications.

2. Think
As I am working in a creative design industry, my boss frequently says this to me "Be more creative!". What I can say here is whatever industries you're working in, always work with the brain. Think wisely in problem solving. Give suggestions in meetings or discussions.

3. Improve
You must improve your knowledge & skills. The world is moving fast. Don't stay in one place forever. Do research regarding your skills, surf the net or take extra classes to gain more knowledge. Practice!

4. Out of the ordinary
Even though you're doing fine in your work, make a surprise once in a while. Don't stay in that comfort zone. Do something out of the ordinary. Something that your boss never thought you're capable of doing. Something beneficial of course. With all the efforts you have done to improve yourself, show them! You'll never know how a compliment from a boss can really boost your confidence and put a smile on your face for the whole day.

Here are just some simple tips. Hope it helps. Mine sharing yours? =)

What Would You Do With A Million Dollars?

$ 1, 000, 000 <--- What would I do with this?

First thing I'll do is to pay off my student loans. LUMP SUM! Hah take that. No more debts to the government. While I was studying my degree I applied for PTPTN (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional) loan to support my course fees and other expenses. At this time of writing, I haven't paid a penny. T_T

Next thing I'll do is to take my family for a vacation! Where go? Italy, Vatican City, New Zealand and Australia. And maybe some other places too.Why travel? I love new environment, new knowledge, new experience, new adventures. I love expecting what the world have to offer in other different places.

With what's left, I would like to pursue my study and start up a company of my own. My business, my money.

Hopefully, with God's will, I am able to achieve these.

So tell me, what would you do with a million dollars?
